Find it extremely odd that he hasn't had a proper run out, unless it was the boards signing and bilic simply doesn't rate him.
Much better option than sakho in that position and he obviously has a good eye for goal.

However bad he is, surely he couldn't make the side worse than Carroll does.
I'm a fan of Bilic, but it was a big mistake to shove Sakho out wide to accommodate the Geordie pub player.
Get Diafra back where he's best and give Antonio a try out on the right. After all, that's where he had success at Forest.

I think Bilic needs to come out and say why Antonio is not getting a game, it's a joke to be honest.
You need Bilic to explain to you that Payet, Lanzini, Moses and Zarate have all been playing well in front of him?

I would have hoped we would have seen a bit more of Antonio by now. Especially seeing the amount of playing time Matt Jarvis had before he left.

it looks increasing like Jelavic and Antonio were panic buys on deadline day.
Bilic obviously hasnt been very impressed by Antonio in training as he hasnt been anywhere near the pitch.

Seems very odd to me. Just when we thought we had got out of the 'square pegs in round holes' syndrome Bilic play Sakho on the right of three and leaves Antonio on the bench. It's just strange.
For me, Carroll was a mistake, he should've played Sakho up front and then chose from either Moses / Antonio / Zarate / Lanzini as to who his three would be.
Very odd line up considering the options we have.

I totally agree with you on how we should of set up and although I think Carroll is an absolute cart horse the only thing I can think is when I watched spuds game against the goon they looked incredibly weak in the air even and I had a feeling he might go with Carroll which was clearly a mistake.....hopefully one he won't be repeating anytime soon

Possibly. I personally think Spurs are pretty decent at the back in the air but its about opinions.
To be honest I won't ever criticise a manager for making a decision. He chose Carrol over Sakho for whatever reason he did. I am sure he made that decision with integrity and with the clubs interests at heart.
But, my main issue is then why play Sakho out of position? When we have designated players for that position.
And if he did play Carroll in front of Sakho to try to hurt Spurs in the air then why the fuck were we trying to play through the middle? I saw very little going out wide and the ball getting whipped in which I think is Carroll's best chance of scoring.
And to be fair Sakho is no slouch in the air so for me it's just a complete fuck up really.
Not sure what the fuck Bilic was doing. Disappointing.

At a guess Antonio can't be impressing as he would have been given a chance by now, maybe the club doesn't think he is up to this standard yet and don't want to ruin his confidence, whatever the reason it doesn't bode well.

Totally agree not making excuses just that I had a sneaky feeling he'd do it after seeing the goon who basically only have giroud and the lanky German who can head the ball.
It was a total fuck up but I don't really have a problem with the initial line as I think I can see what he was trying what disappointed me was he didn't try and change it till we were dead and buried and even then he still left Sakho out wide

Does anybody know if Bilic has made any comments on Antonio what so ever? And if so what did he say?
